Edison’s school counselor helps students in making the most of their abilities. The counselor is also professionally prepared to solve conflicts or problems that may affect the individual and academic performance of our students. Also, we guide students to select courses, including Advanced Placement Courses (AP)/ College Prep, set academic goals and develop study plans, providing them emotional support, helping them manage stress, resolve conflicts, and face personal challenges. Our school counselor offers guidance on career path options, helps students explore interests and skills, and provides information about college education. Furthermore, students receive career opportunity advice and coordination of different tests such as AP, PNA, SAT, ACT, PAA, CEPA, among others.

In the Counseling Department we coordinate with universities, assist with the completion of the FAFSA form and offer motivational workshops. As a team, we work with parents, teachers, and administration to support the whole development of students; connecting them and their families with community resources, such as mental health services, social assistance, or tutoring programs.
